Middle School Math Teacher, Homeroom Teacher

Jane obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Bristol. She studied education-related majors during both her undergraduate and graduate studies and holds a national teaching license. She has been serving in primary school and middle school for 12 years of professional experience in the field of international education.

Jane is a middle school math teacher who previously served as a homeroom teacher in the elementary school. This experience provides her with a unique perspective, helping students transition smoothly from elementary to middle school. Given that middle school math is more challenging, she creates a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where students feel safe, heard, and understood. Her goal is to help students build confidence and interest in math through positive reinforcement. Additionally, she fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging students to ask questions, participate in discussions, and share their ideas, promoting active engagement and deeper learning.

Jane focuses on connecting mathematical skills to learners' daily lives. This approach not only sparks curiosity and enthusiasm for learning but also helps students apply what they learn in practical, real-world situations.

“We are teaching students, not a curriculum. I believe that the focus of a class is the students, not the curriculum. All educational resources exist to serve people. The core of teaching lies in fostering positive interaction and relationships between teachers and students, allowing learners to absorb knowledge, rather than simply transmitting course content. I emphasize that designing lessons based on the learners' actual needs is key to truly recognizing and addressing those needs. By tailoring her approach to each student's context, I ensure that the learning process is meaningful and relevant to them.”
