Sisi Wang

Middle School ELA Teacher, Homeroom Teacher

I hold a Master's degree in TESOL from Ohio State University and have over 9 years of teaching experience, both in China and abroad. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in classroom management and curriculum design, understanding how to engage students' interest and deepen their understanding and application of the language through practical tasks.

At my current school, I am responsible for teaching English to students in Grades 5 and 6, designing and implementing courses that meet students' levels and needs. I focus on connecting language learning to real-life situations, encouraging students to actively participate in class through interactive, task-based teaching methods, and fostering their comprehensive skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I also help students consolidate their knowledge and motivate them to take responsibility for their own learning.

I am particularly interested in second language acquisition and cross-cultural teaching methods, especially in diverse cultural contexts. I am also passionate about exploring how modern technological tools can enhance classroom interaction and learning effectiveness. Additionally, I have a keen interest in student psychological development and personalized education.

I believe that education is not just about knowledge transmission, but also about developing students' abilities to think independently and solve problems. Education, in my view, should ultimately help students become lifelong learners. I adhere to the teaching philosophy of "learning by doing," as I believe that students learn best through active participation and interaction. In the future, I aim to continually innovate in teaching methods, creating more opportunities for students to engage, experience, and reflect, helping them develop well-rounded language abilities and cross-cultural understanding, and preparing them to face the challenges of a globalized world.
