“As an educator, my philosophy of education is centered on the belief that teaching extends beyond the dissemination of knowledge to shaping the holistic development of individuals. I firmly believe in creating an environment that encourages students to explore and question, fostering a love for learning that persists beyond formal education. Education should empower students to develop critical thinking skills, resilience, and a sense of responsibility towards themselves and their communities.
At Moonshot Academy, my goal is to implement these beliefs by nurturing an inclusive and stimulating educational atmosphere. I aim to inspire curiosity and passion for learning, particularly in the fields of science and mathematics, where I have a deep personal interest. By integrating innovative teaching methods and real-world applications, I strive to make learning relevant and exciting.
Furthermore, I am committed to building strong relationships with my students, understanding that trust and respect are foundational to effective education. Through leading after-school activities such as the Frisbee, Math Kangaroo Club, and African Culture Club, I also seek to cultivate students' diverse interests and talents, promoting a well-rounded education. Ultimately, my aspiration at Moonshot Academy is to equip students not just with academic skills but with the values and capabilities they need to thrive in any future endeavors.”
